MEET ALYSSA WILD

Alyssa Wild, MA, AMFT

In-Person in Folsom & Online across California

I provide an empowering, safe space for teens processing trauma, anxiety, and identity hurdles.

SESSION EXPERIENCE

WHAT IT IS LIKE TO WORK WITH ME

My style is warm, empowering, and calm, with enough humor to help break the ice. I don’t talk at teens. I focus on helping them feel seen and safe enough to work through difficult emotions or painful experiences. Some sessions are about processing; others are practical and focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, school stress, friendships, family conflict, or identity.

THERAPIST FIT

I WORK ESPECIALLY WELL WITH TEENS WHO…

01.

Teens who feel anxious, depressed, lost, disconnected, or overwhelmed by difficult emotions.

02.

Teens who have experienced trauma or painful life events and need a safe, trauma-informed relationship.

03.

Teens working through identity, self-esteem, relationship challenges, school stress, or family conflict.

04.

Parents who want insight and useful strategies while preserving the trust their teen needs in therapy.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

HOW I WORK

Therapy works best when it is tailored to the individual. I combine evidence-based methods with a trauma-informed, compassionate approach and meet each teen where they are. The work may include challenging anxious or negative thought patterns, regulating emotions through mind-body awareness, processing painful experiences safely, strengthening motivation, and learning practical tools for real-world challenges.
