Helping Teens Heal, Grow, and Build Resilience

Hi, I’m Kyle — a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a passion for helping teenagers navigate challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and emotional strength.

If you’re here because you’re worried about your teen, you’re not alone. Whether it’s anxiety, family conflict, trauma, school pressures, or behavioral challenges — it’s painful to watch your child struggle and not know how to help.

The good news? You’ve already taken an important step by seeking support. I’m here to help your teen move forward — and to support you along the way.

My Experience — Across Schools, Homes, and Therapy Settings

I’ve worked with teens and families in schools, residential treatment, and outpatient care. My experience includes supporting adolescents through anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and behavioral struggles.

I’ve worked closely with teens who struggle with ADHD and related challenges, helping them build coping skills, regulate emotions, and succeed in everyday life.

This range of experience allows me to understand the unique pressures teens face both in and out of the classroom — and how family dynamics, social stress, and internal struggles can all impact their well-being.

Why Teens Connect With Me

Most teens aren’t exactly thrilled about starting therapy — and I get that. My first goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where they feel respected and understood. I bring a calm, steady presence and a straightforward style.

Some sessions focus on untangling tough emotions or family conflict. Others are about learning tools for handling stress, regulating emotions, or building confidence.

Whether we’re talking about school, friendships, sports, or family, I create space where your teen can show up exactly as they are.

What Parents Can Expect

As a parent, it’s hard to feel shut out of your child’s world — especially when nothing you’ve tried seems to help. My role isn’t to replace your voice or tell you how to parent. It’s to offer your teen a space where they can process what they’re going through, build new skills, and gain emotional strength.

I’ll keep you informed without breaking your teen’s trust, so you’ll better understand what’s happening beneath the surface and how to support them at home. This isn’t just about helping your teen feel better, it’s about helping your family reconnect and move forward together.

My Approach

Therapy works best when it’s adapted to the individual. I customize my approach based on your teen’s needs, drawing from evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care.

Some of the tools I use include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to shift unhelpful thought patterns and build coping strategies

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills – to strengthen emotional regulation and resilience

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to reduce avoidance and help teens connect with their values

  • Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) – to repair family disconnection and strengthen relationships

  • Motivational Interviewing & Solution-Focused Strategies – to encourage confidence and growth

  • Social-Emotional Learning & Psychoeducation – to build practical tools for everyday challenges

Why I Do This Work

I’ve seen firsthand the difference therapy can make for a teen — and for their family. I believe every young person has the ability to heal, grow, and thrive with the right support. My goal is to help teens discover their strengths, build resilience, and create lasting change, while helping parents feel hopeful and connected again.

What I Want You to Know

Your teen’s struggles don’t define them. With the right support, they can move through challenges and come out stronger on the other side. You don’t have to do this alone — I’m here to walk alongside your teen, and your family, every step of the way.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to be part of your family’s journey.
